Guitar Hero Metallica Cheats
One thing that has always remained a staple in the Guitar Hero franchise is the fact that there will be cheats in the game. While most of the cheats are not meant to modify the game, rather than give you an edge while playing, some of the cheats have the ability to help you perform. Keep in mind, however, that any “performance enhancing” cheats, such as “Autokick” or “Always Slider” will not work online and will disable any achievements earned.
Enter the following codes at the “Enter New Cheat” screen:

In addition to those cheats, Neversoft also included a system that unlocks various characters during career mode. Each different instrument has a different set of unlockables. Simply achieve the following amount of stars during the corresponding career to unlock the character.
